Automotive standards and requirments for mandatory use of TPMS. The new PM17SPX® TPMS classes of tyre stems offer automotive temperature range reliability, vibration and acceleration resistance up to 2000 g. The ISO-TS qualified universal "Snap-in" and "Clamp-in" versions are basically designed to meet automotive standards: the PM17® stems are engineered to replace the traditional mechanical valves to enhance both Tier' and distribution' requirements; manufacture chains and supply-chain performances are dynamically approached offering a "Self-learning" methodology to generate an automatic individual efficient wheel autolocation feature enhancing top level maintenance strategy.
The SPX® concept enables 3 Orders of Magnitude Lower Power less than traditional technologies available on the market: during transmission cycle the sensor absorbs <100microA at 3V. SPX® approach to TPMS use is constructed to lead towards next generation of standard in TPMS such as patches and carcass integration.
The innovative SPX® concept dedicated to "NanoPower" Energy Budget Management for ibiquitous autonomous wireless sensors meets automotive costrained temperature range using a 12.5 mm diameter battery cell (typically a lithium CR1220) instead of the traditionally used CR2450 (24mm diameter) in existing TPMS.
